On the weekend of July 21-22, First Christian Church will celebrate its 125th Anniversary..Special bulletin covers with pictures depicting our historical journey have been featured each week since Easter.  These special covers will continue through our anniversary weekend.  Lots of displays and activities are in the planning stages.  

Celebrating the Quasquicentennial:
  • Bulletin Board featuring “A Word from our Past”
  • Watch for displays to “pop” up around the building
  • Congregational Picture – everyone welcome, bring your smiles on June 3
  • Food Drive to benefit FCC’s Emergency Food Pantry (goal of 125 items) – June 10-17
  • Display of church memorabilia – If you have an item(s) from our history, please contact the church office.
  • Sturgis Falls Parade Float
  • Catered Dinner and Program on July 21 (no cost, but reservations encouraged)
  • Worship Service with honored guests followed by a dessert reception – July 22

Sturgis Falls Parade

Saturday, June 23.
First Christian Church participated in the Annual Sturgis Falls Day Parade!  Thanks to Jim Taylor for organizing the event and for providing the tractor/horses and wagon.  Pastor Bryce was in character using a costumer from Cedar Falls Community Theater.  Thanks to the volunteers who walked in the parade as well: Kathy and Lowell Redding, Todd and Naila Graper.
